Every student should strive for the ability to handle the airplane in any situation or attitude. To that end, Harvey & Rihn Aviation offers both a safety proficiency and situational awareness course to make you a safer, more competent pilot.

SAFETY PROFICIENCY COURSE:
This course is designed for any pilot who would like to be in complete control of his aircraft in unexpected situations. The course includes spins, rolls and recovery from very unusual attitudes. The time required to complete the course varies with flight experience and will take 2 to 3 hours.
SITUATIONAL AWARENESS COURSE:
This course is designed to enhance a pilot's awareness of the overall flight situation and allow precise control of the airplane around all of its axis. Therefore, the mission at hand (i.e. patrol, search and rescue, etc.) can take priority with safe and skillful flying being second nature. The course is divided into five flights, totaling five hours, that progress from simple proficiency maneuvers to more demanding unusual and inverted flight.
